I've read in a few trip reviews about people winning hundreds of dollars on the penny slots. When most people max bet on penny slots about winning big on pennies they max bet on penny slots go on a roll and have betting games large wins coupled with some small to mid sized wins. I go with a set amount of money to have fun, and if I win that makes it even more fun I would love to see these mystical slots where max bet is only five coins because it's been ages since I've seen those - max bet seems to be more 10 to 20 coins per line lately. A good payoff for a single coin per line bettor on a penny slot is a hundred dollars or so.

My first real competitive gaming experience was back in when Blockbuster and Gamepro held a tournament. I won the local tournament but lost at the regionals by one point in NBA Jam stupid shot clock! Oh well, I'm good at basketball in real life. I lost but I had a ton of fun being there. Especially the social aspect of it in that I got to know other gamers who the shared the same interest. After the tournament, I nevered joined another one.

Don't really know why. School, i guess complicated my life, as well as RPG's :. King of Kong resparked the old competitive fire. Now I'm hooked on competitive gaming. It's way more fun to face off against a human oppenent then a computer. Plus, competitive gaming has really motivated me to improve my game and has breathed new life into games i don't play anymore.

I recently sent in videos of my super mario bros. If I did everything right, it should put me in 1st for both. I would love to try the arcade version of DK but I have yet to find it in my area. My gamertag ''Mariotime! When games were on the verge of collapse, the success of this game reinvigorated and revolutionized the industry and it was the first game that truly blew me away.

All the great games we play today, we would not be playing if it wasn't for this game. Heck, I'd go so far as to say digital media itself wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for mario, or at least be progressing at a much slower rate.

Sorry if I rambled too long here. I just get so wrapped up in nostalgia sometimes . Good luck everyone! Hi everyone Recently I was contacted about this years Big Bang and the reunion for the folks who participated in that event. I surely would like to try to return to Ottumwa if only to relive the good ole days for the weekend Things sure have come a long way First system was the Sega Genesis!

I played a little after the turn into the 90s, but mostly left gaming for almost two decades, though I did get into some PC games now and then. I have a 4 year old son now, and he's showing some interest : Oh, and I play Tetris sometimes :. Hello everybody, my name is Juan Castellanos im from mexico, I dont know if im the only one from mexico in TG I like video games since , im 31 years old and have only a few scores in the scoreboard, I published a topic but I think somebody write some bad words or something and they took it down, any way im planing to take the ninja gaiden nes score to a maximum level like Kristian is doing too, so I hope we maximized the score soon.

I just joined TG today, so I figured I'd introduce myself here. I'm looking forward to contributing to these forums, and hopefully I'll be able to get some scores in the record books! Hello All. Went to the Kong-Off event and decided to pursue some records after looking online here.

Feel as a bunch are within my reach. E scores are accepted so will be going for both the Arcade and M. Nothing after that is over 8. What exactly was "referee" verification back then and why has no one done any better? I just broke 1 Million on M. E with 5 lives and only played the game once in the last 25 years! Brings back the memories I tell you! Could have easily gotten higher but I was doing the events with only two fingers! I'm more of a collector then a hard line gamer as I'm not extremely competitive but I am looking forward to putting up some scores.

I collect any video games but mostly Nintendo since I've never been with out a Nintendo system for as long as i can remember. I also have a lot of music interests but thats another story. Decided to submit some records as of last month on MAME. At some point, I plan to work on console records as well. Console games rocked too, but I fell out of that scene almost completely when the FPSs started flooding the market.

I had pretty much given up on video games alltogether until I watched, you guessed it , King of Kong. What really pushed me over the edge though, was a trip to FunSpot this past weekend where I got to meet Hank C. I've never officially posted an introduction, so here goes I'm Chris Helmin, come from a long line of video gamers. Why arent mortal kombat vs dc or Turok listed as games to get high scores for on ps3?? Is that just because no one has submitted? Thanks a lot. I know when recording NES is clearly states : "3. There was more info on Digital Press in regards to this Due ot the fact these OC'd consoles eliminate slowdown in games This will create an unfair advantage on a lot of games, for those who have no access to one or don't use one.

Your best bet is to just request it and hope for the best. Hi everyone, I was born in the 80s so I'm part of the "Nintendo Generation. Although most of my research has been over the Internet watching videos and reading online articles , I figure it can help to get involved in the forums here to meet other arcade enthusiasts. You can download it here.

Hi guys I just registered but have lurked for a good while on the forums..! So the pertinent info about me My name is Joe, I'm 35, I live in Warwickshire UK with my lovely wife who doesn't mind me keeping a MAME cabinet in the shed : She gets some amusement from hearing me yelling obscenities at it, and the satisfaction of telling my mates that she once beat me at Streetfighter 2.

One of those infuriatingly lucky button bashers she is Anyway I spend most of my time looking after kids and working I'm a Decorator but manage to squeeze in a few hours a week for various types of gaming. Not to forget of course favourite; old school arcade titles. Since I built my most recent cabinet I've really got stuck into Donkey Kong - a game that has made me remember what a proper challenge is.

No matter how bad a day I've had that game really can't help but cheer me up! Anyway there's tons of stuff that I'd like to comment on so looking forward to it..! It's just a friendly " challenge of the week " to add some scores to certain games and to give some world records a challenge.

I will see if Cosmo Gang is tracked by TG and if so that can be one of the games for the week. Once again, welcome My kids have both X-Box and the Wii, but I don't play 'em. I cut my teeth on pinball machines like "Full House" drain whore! I kind of tuned-out of the pinball machines after "The Adams Family. On the video game side, I was fan of Space Invaders and Asteroids. Pac Man and Donkey Kong, I could take or leave. So much so, I owned the original upright arcade version of both machines in the late 90's.

Unfortunately the monitors eventually went out on both machines, and being vector monitors they were impossible to replace so I had to sell them for scrap. I still to this day haven't played a game of Tempest that would rival the upright arcade version with a well-maintianed spin-knob. The home versions just can't replicate that motion. As of late, I've become a big fan of the racing sims. I have built a complete car-sim cockpit and race in front of a 10 Foot, P HD screen that's the advantage of being an older gamer I have recently submitted a world record attempt for that game, but it hasn't been posted on twin galaxies yet.

The highlights of my Lumines world record attempt: My youtube channel:. Cloud MN I started playing video games in the early 80's on the atari and on a space invaders cocktail machine. I got a sega master system in for xmas and my hobby really took off. Since then, I have owned most systems except neo-geo and have been gaming since. Lately, I have been looking for classic arcade games to play on and recently found a dk machine at dave and busters about an hour from my house.

It really took me back to my younger, carefree days and I would really like to find more closer to my home. I just started about 2 weeks ago and my score is only around k, but I am trying to improve. Anyway, I'm looking forward to scouring these forums and maybe adding my two cents in here and there.

I live here in NH. Enjoy playing DK and zookeeper Best on DK is , Few days ago I scored , before my first death and wound up with , Anyway a fellow at the arcade told me about this forum and the MAME emulator I know this is my first post, and no one knows me, so asking for assistance may be premature PM me or whatever.

Donkey Kong on You basically download wolfmame 0. The ROMS Games you will have to search and find yourself off the internet, no one here will assist in finding them as it's against TG policy. And then you should be able to go to file. After this the game will save an. Name: Krystle Willing Age: Old enough to know better.

Cry, baby, cry. Username: Krystarz - you can find me by the same name elsewhere. I remember playing classic arcade games as a very little girl, sitting on a bar stool to reach the joystick. My favorite game has always been Rampage, so I'm very glad my fiance owns one and we'll be restoring it in the near future. I'm also a big fan of pinball games. I just recently became hooked on the arcade scene and am eager to learn everything I can about this awesome community.

I was lucky enough to meet all the right people and have been welcomed to the arcade culture by the nicest, most genuine friends I have ever met. I'm hoping to continue this by meeting more amazing gamers and fans here. OK, I'll join this topic :. I can't recall how many times did I answer the "Insert Coin" call of those machines. In these young years, I developed a knack for these games, especially beat-em-ups, and became more-than-useless at those.

After the decline of arcade games around here, I moved to PC games. For the most part. To play the games is one things, but to compete against others, that's something quite different. As of now, I hold a couple of Czech top-scores, again, mostly in beat-em-ups. I quickly became quite an active member, meeting other players not only online, but in real life as well. As RMAME supports two-player games, me and my fellow players simply took a laptop, some gamepads and went for a combination of gaming and beer.

These gamebeer meetings still occur from time to time. Well, and now I discovered Twin Galaxies :. Hio, Im Trevor Pawlak Ive been playing video games quite a while. I hope to join the ranks of many of you to hold some world records! I procrastinated a while before I finally signed up on twin galaxies. I was an 80's kid who loved hanging around video games. Discovered MAME in the early 's but had no idea about twin galaxies.

Today i wanna introduce a friend to all of you and his name is WangJiaHui,as a friend of mine on the internet we never see each other before ,the TGI member 'wjh' the Chinese name is JiaHui Wang is a StreetFighter 3 3rd strike player and we used to fight on GGPO, he always play as the charactor 'Yang' and plays very good. As a bus driver and a 1 years old boy's father, Wang always play video games on his spare times,he had a PS2,Dreamcast and a SegaSaturn. Hi everyone. I just heard of Twin Galaxies through recently watching the King of Kong.

I'm Kevin. My favorite system is the NES. Sounds cliche but I took a lot of interest in this place after watching Chasing Ghosts and King of Kong. That was last year, now I own around 50 games on 9 systems. I don't favour any type of game I'll play anything.

In regards to arcade gaming I live in a seaside town which has several arcades, sadly most of the games are light gun shooters and racers. Like I said I can play anything but at an arcade I'd rather play something different for once.

Doesn't matter, I just emulate the games I want to play now, saves me space and money. Co-Captain of the U. Name: Donn Nauert. Hey, my name is Andreas "Svenne" Svensson, born ! I'm a soon to be educated documentary director from Sweden and a gamer. I right now got 9 records on TG and waiting for one more to get accepted by Tim Stodden!

So I don't know more what to say really! Hello everyone! Looking forward to submitting some scores. I was pretty sure we owned the older atari before that. I remember the image of us owning it but I don't ever remember playing it. My dad probably played it.

Anyways I've had almost every mainstream console and handheld available since then. I did get the dreamcast though. Like most people I first came to this site after watching King of Kong. I only registered to these forums a few days ago but I was registered to the main page a few years ago. I'm not really an oldschool high score type of competitive player. I'm more into the VS aspect of video games. Although I do like trying to get high scores in old games like pacman and donkey kong, fighting games are where my heart lies.

I go to fighting game tournaments. Right now I'm looking to try get all 1 records in every Tekken game. Right now I have 2 youtube channels but I'll only list one for now since the other one only has 1 vid. My name is Rich. My username on TG is also BossGalaga although I have yet to submit any scores and to be honest was surprised the name wasn't taken.

I'm an avid and long-time gamer. My first game system was an Atari which I had to compete with my Dad's football games for. Later I managed to weasel my parents into getting me a Commodore 64 which carried me through the early-mid 90s until I got a IBM PC and also managed to save up enough to buy my own Gameboy.

As a child I used to fantasize about owning a room, lined with shelves that contained every Nintendo game ever made. I never imagined during my early childhood that one day they would all fit on one dvd. I've been interested in competitive arcade gaming for a long-time and while I wouldn't call it a life achievement I used to be well feared at the local arcades at Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and pretty much any fighting game so much so that people who knew me would wait until I had beaten the game and would sometimes even warn other people off.

Some of my personal claims to fame: -A 48 win streak at Tekken Tag whereupon the long line of challengers finally gave up in actual disgust and parted with some "hurtful" words. JPG -And racking up over 20, tickets at Skeeball at a local amusement park and effectively mastering the "bank shot", which granted I had time to master after identifying a lane that was giving away free games.

My real love is of old arcade games though and I'd like to rack up and submit some high scores on some of the older, classic titles. I'm also a hobbyist programmer and graphics artist. I'm currently working on an old school Sierra-type adventure game with a friend.

Hey, Im david 32 almost 33 years old from the UK. Here to break some records hopefully and make some friends. Hey my name is Joel. I'm 24 and from Portland, Oregon. Hopefully will make my mark on the Super Mario Bros. What platform will you be playing? Hey everyone my name is Robert Lakeman. I have been on this site for about seven months now. I do a majority of my gaming at Funspot a few miles north of my house.

I love the classics and arcades instead of some of the crap they have out now. I broke two world records in the past couple of months Cheeky Mouse, Strategy X and hope to make an impact on the community. Some of my other hobbies and interests include golf, watching sports, and playing poker. I look forward to meeting anyone who is willing to meet at Funspot and play some games and share some strategies. Yo everybody!

I'm Ryan Genno here and I'm a crazy Canadian at 34 years old here. I don't have too many records here on Twin Galaxies yet but I do have about 15 Turbografx records on the site so far. The newer consoles are cool but it's the classics that I prefer.

My Goal is the Vs. Hi All. I've been a member a few years now but on just posted for the first time. I really looking forward to sliding right in to the Twin Galaxies community and get some high scores while making friends along the way. Hi everyone, this is my new account, my old one doesnt work, I dont know if some time old accounts are gonna be avaliable again, but for now this will be my new one, hope to someone send me a pm to tell me if I can use my old account again, see ya.

Hope to make some friendly rivals here and now! I didn't send in runs very often, but tried hard when I did. Finally got my old account back Thanks Jace My name is Craig. First got involved with Twingalaxies after watching KOK which seems to be a pretty common occurrence. Optimistically cautious to see how this new iteration of TG turns out. Can't wait to submit scores and compete with my fellow gamer buddies.

Hello all,Im a CAG member for many years,Ive decided to finally make a TG account,I hope TG does deal with the trouble maker it has running rampent on this forum though cough cough rudy j ferretti. It may take a while but it is well worth it. Hey all, Dennis here. Long time TG follower, but never was really active on the website as I should have been. Pac-Man cab. Hoping to put up some big scores and have a good time doing as well! Welcome, Dennis! Hey Guys! My name is Preston. I've been active on KLOV and been collecting arcade games since I'm not a competitive gamer, but I certainly do enjoy all things retro!

I co-host a podcast called , and have been doing that for over 3 years now. Most recently, I am one of the organizers putting together the in Atlanta June Hope you can make it out! I don't know if I'll ever get on the scoreboard for any of the well-known games as I'm not very good. However, I do have access to a really obscure arcade game called "Zoar" that only has one official score recorded. So at least if I ever submit a score for that I'm practically guaranteed at least 2nd place!

Well, looks like I am the former vgmc now. Something went amiss with logging in via the old handle, so I made a new one. Hope Namco isn't angry at me. I couldn't think of much of anything else right off the bat that would stick with an unusual sort such as myself. As you can probably tell, I'm into all things Pac-Man-related. I also have the game on my PacBox Voice: Nothing like Marty Ingels Keith K Smith '87 c tm Mega-Play game card , [and still playing strong] "Gossip often masquerades in the guise of concern and prayer.

If you would like to recover it please send me a message with the e-mail address you want associated with your old account. Once we fix that, you will be able to reset your password. Might as well make my first post here. I have played video games my entire life. I own a cocktail pacman arcade with a in 1 multi-board and I also own a bingo pinball machine bally's galaxy.

Games I love to play are donkey kong, currently beat my personal best from 83, to , I know not WR worthy but I'm working on it, gyruss, mappy, centipede, galaga, space invaders, and asteroids. Arcades I want to own one day, tapper, tron, and toobin. Welcome Heather!!! It's Todd Friedman. Browsing the new site. See everyone in Fairfield in August? Bring your trading cards.

Hey now! Ryan from Salt Lake City here. I was super distraught last winter when I went to check in on it and it wasn't there, but hey—it's back and looking to be on its way to being better than ever. Hoping to get in somewhere on the Mario Bros. Pleased as punch to be here. Sorry this havent happend before. My name is Michael, I live en Denmark, and own a small private arcade.

I started collecting in , and the collection have grown steadily, unfortunately collecting dedicated cabs in Denmark is not esay, simply because it was to expensive to ship the games from the US, though, there was an Atari factory in Ireland, but cabs from there are far and between too Name: J. I started my first game store in and later shut it down due to starting a family. Hello everyone, I didn't see this, should've been my first post. Got into arcades when I was 5yo, played classic games down at the bar with my Dad don't ask, yeah I was allowed to sit there, drink cokes and pop quarters into the machines they had and down at the local beach which had a very large array of arcades.

Been console gaming since the and also an avid DOS gamer, but tapered off when N64 hit. I stuck to my old games as I've never been the person that equated better graphics as more, or an enhanced version of fun. Not horribly attracted to 3D, pixels and sprites are neat. Good control, fun goals, I'm in to win.

I like platformers, puzzles totally envious of the top tetris folks , RPGs, adventure games, pretty much most genres except perhaps sports minus a few , strategy some are fun and the MMO games. I won't even bother trying MMO games, I'm afraid I might like them and get addicted to that whole thing.

I've beat a lot of games in my time, lots of them multiple times and become quite proficient in a few of them, not sure I'm WR material but hey, I can try. Looking forward to participating in the community, plan on doing some live streams over at Twitch if anyone wants to hang out, feel free, I'll drop a URL when I start running some game plays down there. I've known about TG for some time now and had an account but was always apprehensive about putting my butt into the community, I've been treated pretty poorly by numerous communities in a variety of topics and genres by guys who think they're entitled to it.

However, looking around TG and who's here now I'm not really getting that feeling so hey, let's do this. I make music in my spare time, nothing "professional" just a musical dabbler, draw, love fashion and yeah, I love games, I have roughly a collection of 2, of them, a fourth of them is NES. Looking forward to seeing what the new TG has to offer.

Should be fun. Hello Everyone you might seen me in other forums topics and kind of doing this post this late so I might have some errors in my comment sleepy lol. Hi my name is Karl, I'm 20 years old. I got into video games since I was 5 years old, playing the Sega genesis and probably know half of what I was doing lol. I got into competitive gaming since getting the Xbox starting off with halo 3, cod, fighting games and also PC gaming LoL, TF2 and lot others.

I played mostly every single genre and gaming systems. I'm into MMOs as well. I finish my one year of college and I'm studying in computer science for game programming, I've also been programming for 2 years in a career tech school while I was in High School, as what Krysti said programming is great fun.

I'm also planning to be involved with the video game business and Computer science in the future. Also to be more involved with Twin galaxies, until the database of the records are up and running I want to start doing records even one that I sent out. But then a change in twin galaxies came up which kind of delayed it and have to pay to do the record.

But when that went falling apart, Hall took in charge TW. It great to see things coming back and with new ideas coming in TW. Don't have next gen actually "this Gen" yet but planning to. Think that's about it, Again can't wait what TW has in store in the future and for me to start doing some video game records. Hi guys, just signed up but i'm a average gamer wanting to attempt some records after reading the gamers edition of the guiness world record book Real name ryan bailey Screen name ryanleighbailey Gamer since i got the megadrive around age 6 Never had a pc or a console online Just wanted to introduce myself real quick.

I am attempting a 50 hour Kicker WR marathon attempt this weekend so feel free to drop by the stream and say hi. Really looking forward to the new TG and meeting some great people. Welcome back Estel! Fifty hours on Kicker sounds pretty intense to me, but something I'll have to check out! Good luck! Pac restoration in progress 2 empty Tatio Cabs 9 Mame bartops 3 Mame uprights. Im up to over games a few consoles and and Atari XE system with the light gun, ya its cool but it got me looking for a light gun for the NES is what lead me back to Twin Galaxies.

Tyler Silk. Hi, I'm creech, 37, from Chicago, Illinois. I've been playing video games since the Atari , and even though I was only 7 around that time, the video games of that time that now have become classics were always a part of my life.

Enjoyed the Nes and Snes eras as well. Super Metroid and the Zeldas specifically, too many great games to mention from those consoles. Haven't played many of the newer game consoles, I'm pretty much capped at the ps2 and n Happy to be a part of this great avid community. Noire Favorite Multiplayer game- Halo 3 for the custom games. Well, let's keep gaming Its great to see you back, Rodrigo. It has been a while! Jace and the TG team should be able to help you with your old login.

Kind of late to the game for this! My names Grant Thienemann. At the time of this writing I'm 29 years old. I'm an Automation Test Engineer for web software and I'm almost exclusively into the arcade scene though I started out in the Atari scene. I have two world records. I like to find none working games and get them workings, and thats it.

I don't fix art, I don't try to make my machines mint, I like them with all their damage as long as they work properly, I call all my games "survivor" condition. My collection seems to grow and shrink, I was down to 9 games, but its shot back up again. I'm actively trying to fix some games so that I can go for some obscure arcade world records but I have to get the machines working first. Hi all.

Quick post to say hi. Been keeping an eye on TG for a few years now but never actively participating in anything. Last month I got myself an Atari light sixer and just purchased an Intellivision. Looking forward to having a go at setting some records on these and spending most of my lunch breaks at work judging other peoples records.

Feel free to add me a as a friend, I won't bite This is my first post, just checking things out. I've love playing all types of games, arcade, pinball, console, mobile, even board games etc Jason Spindler here. Long time gamer and collector. I have about 30 games here in my home arcade known as the J-cade. It is the largest private collection in southern Indiana. I am excited about submitting some new WR scores in the near future.

My only goal is to become a "Nintendo Master" So anyway, I just won a video game tournament 25 times in a row, and my first winning tournament is Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour on GameCube. I'm still continuing on my video game journey when I'm doing for every year, as I already created.

So now, in , I enjoying Twin Galaxies from the Internet when I will able to make my home performance records for video games, when they got the rules, and official settings. At least I was gifted too. What's up everyone?

I have an addictive personality and video games was no exception! I'm sure you can all relate. Knowing this, I have not purchased a gaming console since Sega Genesis! I don't think I would have graduated college had I purchased a Sony Playstation, haha.

So while I'm not a gamer, I do love and enjoy video games very much. A few years back, I stumbled onto nhl Soooooo, I started playing '94 online competitively, lol. Long story short, someone linked to TG's world record, which then led me to watch KoK, which then led me to break the '94 record, and now I'm here. I hope to break all the EA Hockey titles on Genesis in the near future, and we'll see where it goes from there. It's fun and a little addicting. I really like the new peer review format as well -- will help adjudicate when I can!

Cheers eveyone, and happy gaming. My name is Don Atreides, I'm a computer engineer living near D. Actually video games got me into computer engineering. I wanted to understand how video games worked and make my own. The second part never happened, but I've enjoyed my career nevertheless. When I was a kid, I was too poor for arcades and I never owned many games, but I could borrow Atari , and later, NES games from friends which gave me about a week to beat a game before I had to return it.

So I learned to devour them when I could. The original NES is my console of choice, but I've owned probably every console at some point in my life. I'm also a big fan of open-world games like Arkham and Prototype. I tried MMOs but couldn't get into them.

Oh, and Tetris - can't forget about Tetris. Now, not so much. Maybe someday again. My name is Simon and I'm from Sweden. I love video games and I get pretty good scores on some of the old ones. I have a question about the submission rules. If I play say a Game Boy game and try to film a high score.

Do I have to "make it" on my first try and if I don't: turn off the camera and redo everything showing the system, cart etc. Or can I fail a few times and get a high score on, let's say my 6th try, submit the video and write what time in the video to look?

It doesn't have to be on your first attempt. Hej Simon. The rule really only applies to MAME submissions. As long as the settings are shown and you show the boot up, you can end your game suicide style and start over fresh provided your camera does not pause. It's a good idea to mention by comment where the actual high score is on the video file. Hello all, its been many years since Ive been involved with TG. Ive played in a few decas back when Snipercade was running them.

I visited the TG website from time to time but it went through alot of changes and down time. And so I lost track of it. So now Im back and its nice to browse the forums and catch up on whats been going on. Im soo glad that TG found a way back to the lime light : Cheers!

Hi guys my name is Caratelli Umberto. Are Italian in Rome, I'm 39 years old, and as a child I always had a passion for coin op. At home I have 2 naomi cab universal 2 daytona 1 supersprint. I like to play the old arcade glories I like challenges, so I want to try to put some records. My name is Mike. I own a Retro video game store. I decided to sign up and finally submit the videos that I had made years ago for records.

My name is trivia formerly trivia because the old account did not work ever since I've been a member I've been keeping track of my world records on which I have to beat. I cannot wait until I submit again and currently I'm over records don't know how many because I'm trying to get over records.

Hello all, just started to post to the forum, but have been a member for a bit, working on trying to break some records. My name is Jason, from Kansas City, and I'm a long time lurker, long time gamer..

I'm currently 34 years of age. Been playing games since I played my neighbor's Atari when I was 3 years old, then my mom bought me one a year later. Been gaming ever since. Though, I'll be honest, I haven't been playing as much lately. But ever since I broke my hip socket in pro wrestling training, I've had more time to play, so I figured I'd post on this board more and go for some records. I was once a Top 50 player on Duke Nukem 3D according to the old heat.

That is pretty much my gaming claim to fame. I used to be a competitive gamer when I was in high school. Not so much now, though, haha. Hi everyone! Just getting reverified and connected to my records so I figured I'd make another post here. Back on the threads. I have a couple records. The main one being , points in Skate or Die 2, Ramp mode. Thanks to everyone at TG! Greetings everyone. First heard of TG on KoK. I've since looked into TG more and love what you guys do! Hi I'm Chris from Australia. Hi everybody I'm Matt from Italy. Found this forum looking for Starfox64 videos. Is there a community for high scoring in these? Especialy PD? Hey Folks! I was on hiatus with TG since the change in management and sort of lost interest in competitive gaming.

Previously I was a competitor and hold records in a few games and then I transitioned to a judge later. I saw amazing feats of gaming, met many amazing people and really loved this community. Today I was looking at my Facebook feed and saw I posted a picture I took of my score in the Guinness Book of World Records and decided to come visit the site again. So anyhow, just wanted to submit a hello and look forward to lurking around the forums and verifying some scores.

Got almost every mainstream console and too many games. GG everybody. Hi guys, I'm Antonio, from Turin, Italy Do you still play? What are your thoughts on the 1 score in regards to TG settings, etc? Thanks a lot, Steve I surely will, once I'll mount one in my second cabinet, that I'm going to renew shortly Regarding the 1, it's a great score There is a difficulty setting that fluctuates the time allowed.

Easy vs Normal, etc. Hi all, I think my profile is going to sound awfully familiar ; My name is Jason, and I'm a video gamer! I've been a gamer since I was a wee lad, most likely starting with some Pong variant at home and later Space Invaders in the arcade. My family purchased a ColecoVision, and that unit now forms the nucleus of a small classic console collection that I amassed through the 80s and 90s.

About five years ago, I discovered that people actually own and maintain original classic arcade games in their home, so I began to search for titles to assemble a mini arcade myself. Looking forward to trying a few high score runs! Your avatar already makes you aces in my book!

Hello all, It's about time i wrote my first post, considering that I created my account 9 months ago! Is that a WR? My name's David and I'm an avid classic gamer some modern from the UK. I was a child of the 70's so I've seen the progress of games throughout the decades. My earliest memory of an arcade machine was Space Invaders at a local cinema.

I've enjoyed owning a number of systems over the years Vic20 to PS4 and had only limited access to arcades growing up when we went on seaside holidays. I'm mainly drawn to shooters but love many types of games. I'm currently battling it out with Galaxian with a PB of 1,, I've just this week started streaming my efforts on Twitch and managed a million point game by a whisker.

Hello NinjaOkami from the Streams here figured id do my hi and hellos since i forgot when i made this account probably sometime last year Im a general gamer i play old and new games when im not on steam, origin, battle net, etc etc i will go back and play classic games from my childhood 80ies kid here to give you a general idea. Decided I wanted to participate in this community and maybe get a SEGA related game record as that would mean a lot to me.

I collect and repair games consoles for my own enjoyment. Newbie here. Been meaning to join for some time. Hoping to set a couple of records on the early Commodore 64 games. First up Spelunker. GL and have fun! I'm Blackjack and I'm working on a rather unusual record.

Just under the system the game is on? As far as I know these types of records are not tracked here. You should get in touch with Guinness World Records and they might be able to help you out with this. Indeed, pretty sure that's not something TG tracks. Guinness would be your best bet like d3scride said. Are you planning to play in the IGBY tournament upcoming?

If so, have I got a team for you I did. They told me to come here. Aaron T Reynolds a. Unfortunately haven't been able to do any real pinball attempts yet. Hit a bad patch in life in thanks mostly to the economy crash lost my job, and my house. Things are looking good now, good job, Just got a PS4, 60fps capture device.

Looking forward to getting back to WR's. Another competitor for TPA on the ps4 wouldn't hurt, it's been quiet lately. Can't find a direct capture device that will record PS4 bootup, and record at p 60fps, still looking. Ah, you're going for quality videos. I'm pretty much at the opposite end of that spectrum. My name is Marco. I'm a native New Yorker who now lives by the beach. My username, Marco, combines my first name with my birthday October Not very original, but it helps friends remember my birthday every year.

I first played arcade games in the s and played Atari games religiously. I had to focus on regaining employment and I put gaming behind me. My interest was reignited a few years ago when a high school buddy of mine revealed that he was an avid collector. My return to gaming was inspired by MoMA, of all places. I played the arcade Space Invaders and Tempest for the first time in a couple of decades.

I joined Twin Galaxies in January and started adjudicating whenever I could find the time. There are a few select records, though, that I believe I can break. I look forward to the challenge that lies ahead, and I look forward to contributing to Twin Galaxies. I'll also do my best to post in a few forums as well.

Name: Mike Waters Username: ThunderFist Location: USA Member of Twin Galaxies since I have been gaming since at least , and my first video game experience took place at convenience stores on arcade games, which still hold a special place in my heart.

Hey guys my name is Tyler I came here wanting to upload some scores for H1Z1. This sounds like a nice little place for gamers to hang out and challenge themselves. If anyone wants to play on Steam just private message me and we can exchange info. Okay, I've been on TG for a month or two and somehow missed this thread Anyhoo, I'm Sean. I was a pre-teen during the Golden Age of Video Games.

I was about nine years old right before the crash happened, and as such I didn't get a chance to go to the arcades very much We lived in Bourbonnais, IL at the time, and it was the nearest mall, and we'd go there once a month.

We had two indie arcades in the area but except for one extremely rare one-off occasion I never went to them because, well, my parents wouldn't take me, and my brother was and still is, actually! At least I grew up using the phrase "grew up" very loosely, of course! Never stopped playing that thing.

I'm lucky enough to live a relatively short drive to the world's largest arcade, Galloping Ghost, and then there's my favorite arcade, Underground Retrocade, about an hour up the interstate from me. And I co-host Pie Factory Podcast. It's a biweekly podcast in which we discuss two arcade games, rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 "Continues", and talk about a theme that those two games have in common.

The themes range from the pretty easy -- when we discussed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Popeye, the theme, obviously, was games based on cartoons -- to the terribly obscure -- like when we discussed Asteroids and Frogger, the theme was arcade games that I first played at Hunk's Pancake House in Bradley, IL. I've been a big Pac-Man buff since it first came out. I actually thought of perhaps writing a comprehensive book about all things Pac-Man, but I knew I didn't want to shop it around to publishers, have to edit the thing, etc.

I suck at the Pac-Man games that don't have the speedup chip, though. Anyway, despite all this game talk in this post, my main interest is actually music I'm an amateur musician and love classic rock and will go to my grave saying that the Syd Barrett era of Pink Floyd was their prime and that Roger Waters ruined the group when he took over!

Hello everybody, I'm Brandon, 27 years old, nice to meet you all. I'm not very good at games, but I do love trying to see how I compare to others gamers! I look forward to being more involved with this community! Quick question: Are all the World records on his site up to date?

See you all around! Hi, Brandon! Don't worry about your gaming skills -- as far as I'm concerned, it's for fun. Yeah, I like to get competitive I'm not that great myself, tbh , but it's all for fun; that's what truly matters.

As for all the records being up to date, I seriously doubt that every single record is necessarily up to date and probably hasn't been since Twin Galaxies was just a storefront arcade in the Maharishi's back yard. Just to give you an understanding why Since then, there have been thousands of new arcade games made.

On top of that, Twin Galaxies now tracks home consoles and computers as well, and each game that Twin Galaxies tracks could have multiple tracks I don't know if the number of records that exist has ever been calculated, but it must be staggering -- just with 1 world records alone! And as you can tell from another thread in this forum, some are not necessarily accurate too quite often from simple admin mistakes, like maybe assigning old records to incorrect tracks.

Hey it's Jon Sewer Fox , I'm returning here from ish. I made sure I entered the same email address and personal info. But, after Black ops 2 I wasn't interested in any of the new CODs so i quit playing games and I just focused on school for about 2 years. Then i got a computer and have been playing since. Age: 16 Location: Baltimore MD. I have finally returned - had to have my account reset cause I couldn't figure out which past password it was to get in. It is the 25 year anniversary of my Nintendo Campus Challenge championship. I haven't put a big emphasis on gaming for years as I was very busy covering the central Illinois wrestling scene and producing TV and DVDs.

Now I'm every so often challenging an arcade score. Word Em Up!! Just got back in myself. Thanks, Franny! The name is Genesis Moss and I am glad to be a part of this forum!

Hope to make some new friends and maybe get a high score one day! Have I never introduced myself? I'm so sorry! I'm Lauren R. Tyler, and video games have been my passion since I was a child. I'm still getting used to how things work here, but I plan to submit some things soon once I've got things more settled here.

For now, I love making new friends so hit me up! Welcome to Twin Galaxies! Excited to have you here! Can't wait to see your high scores! Looking forward to seeing your submissions! Achievement awaits! I guess I could actually introduce myself, now that I've submitted a dozen-or-so scores. I've just started dabbling in the home arcade side - I bought my first pin a year and a half ago, along with recently picking up an Atari Gauntlet cabinet to be restored.

I also have a big empty Golden Tee cab that I hope to make into a really nice emulation cabinet. I've always had a tendency to compare scores. Making "posters" celebrating high scores on games when I was little, and trying to find ways to share saved scores from PC games with friends, among others.
